“Murder is only perfect when everyone knows you got away with it.” After teasing for over a year, we’re finally ready to debut The Cask of Amontillado, the macabre story of ultimate revenge by Edgar Allan Poe. This haunting and sinister illustrated work is by artist Jason Strutz, adapted for the comic page by writer Enrica Jang.

And while you never need a reason to want to revisit Poe, this 24-page full color comic is the perfect way to prep for the release of our brand new graphic novel due out next year, The House of Montresor. This original full-length graphic novel by this same creative team is a sequel to Poe’s Cask of Amontillado, expanding and continuing the tale of murder and vendetta that the villainous Montresor only hints at, fifty years after committing the perfect crime.

“The Cask of Amontillado” is debuting at New York Comic Con, as well as available in print and as a digital download in the RSM store. Read it and weep, for the terror has only just begun!
