KillerQueenstrokes and stuff

***UPDATE: Many folks have been asking about whether they can still pitch if they received an invite after the open call was closed. The answer is YES. If you sent in your query on or before February 15th and received an invitation, you still have the full amount of time to send in your pitch. ONLY people who received invitations should send in pitches. Thank you!***

THANK YOU to all of the writers and artists who submitted to our Killer Queen Comic Anthology.  Red Stylo said “I Want It All” and you gave it to us.  From comedy to drama, horror to sci-fi, subtle to over-the-top-psychedelic-crazy, the pitches covered the entire spectrum, and were some of the strongest we have seen since our annual anthologies started.  So take a bow, creators!

As much as we loved meeting new folks interested in participating, The Show Must Go On.  That means the open-call is now, officially, CLOSED, and it’s time for the real work to start.  In the next few days, we will respond to all queries and then begin picking the line-up for the anthology. Then it’s time to finalize scripts, pair up writers and artists, and begin rushing Headlong into another awesome Red Stylo book!

A full list of contributors will be announced on March 15.

Along the way, we will be constantly updating you on the process through Facebook, Twitter, and our Newsletter. Keep up with us through the year as we reveal bits and pieces of the production process, and look for KILLER QUEEN in stores and online in Fall of this year. Also, don’t forget to check back in January 2015 for our next open call…who knows what the heck we’ll be doing then!
