Jus kidding! Super excited to announce Ken Eppstein, writer, editor, publisher and grand poobah at Nix Comics, is teaming up with Red Stylo as contributing editor for 27, A Comic Anthology inspired by rock-n-roll’s infamous “27 Club”

Ken3

We heart rock, but Ken is a man who lives and breathes the stuff: he is a former record store owner, lover of all things punk and vinyl, and his outfit, the Columbus-based Nix Comics, has been producing Nix Comics Quarterly, a Rock-n-roll Horror anthology, since 2010. He’s a killer combination of rock and horror and indie publishing experience. For a comic collection inspired by dead rock stars? Comics kizmet.

Ken will be contributing a story, as well as writing an introduction to 27, and shepherding stories through production. Keep your eyes and ears open for more updates as we start to put 27 together. And be sure to check out the Nix Comics website, and especially Nix Comics Quarterly!

Stars burn hot, bright and then go out forever, but their light shines on for ages after. Members of the “27 Club” reached musical stardom early in life and died too young– specifically, the tender age of 27. 27, a Comic Anthology is a collection of original comics and art inspired by a music artist who died at 27.
