Five days left for our Kickstarter for 27, A Comic Anthology: ROCK HARD Edition and some great, wonderful, stupendous things are happening, not the least of which is the release of this episode of the Adrian Has Issues podcast I got to do with Adrian King!
They say that there only 6 degrees that separate any two people on Earth. Adrian and I only have 3 degrees of geekdom to separate us! I got a chance to meet Adrian at the New York: Special Edition comic show a few months ago, but during this episode we discovered these connections between Red Stylo and the podcast:
- We were introduced by mutual friend, Erica Schultz
- Adrian just recently had CITY OF WALLS writer, Shaun Noel, on the podcast
- Not long ago, Adrian and some other friends did a play-by-play commentary of my brother Peter Jang‘s role as Scorpion from Mortal Kombat when he fought the White Ranger in an episode of Bat in the Sun’s Super Power Beat Down!
Adrian gave us the whole hour for the podcast–have a listen! (I also, sort of, maaaaybe let the cat out of the bag on ANOTHER big announcement for another Red Stylo title in this episode. Oops.)
Most of my chat with Adrian is about the campaign for 27, A Comic Anthology. To celebrate the release of this episode, we’ve added a special tier reward for 5 of Adrian’s listeners on our campaign: the ADRIAN HAS ISSUES podcast VIP PASS gets you a signed and numbered copy of 27, a PDF copy of the book to share with a freind, and a special 27 Club skull poster! AND, if we can fund our next stretch goal, our ROCK HARD Edition for 27 could potentially be a BOXED Edition! We onyl have 5 days left to make this happen!!
27, A Comic Anthology is a collection of original comics and art inspired by music’s infamous “27 Club.” An iconic group of music artists achieved musical stardom early and then died at the age of 27, including greats like Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, among many others. The anthology features stories and art from over 54 creators, and the #ROCKHARD Edition (a signed and numbered premium hardcover, limited to 1000 copies) is a Staff Pick on Kickstarter now!
