Emerson College’s official entertainment magazine, Emertainment Monthly, gave our adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s CASK OF AMONTILLADO a great review this week! The comic, published by Action Lab Entertainment, hit stores January 20th. Staff writer, David Stehman, had this to say:

“The one-shot succeeds in dramatizing the classic story to an unfamiliar audience while using brilliant art and bold direction to create a chilling tale as cold as the fabled glass of Amontillado.”

Cask of Amontillado cover Action Lab
The Cask of Amontillado is the macabre story of ultimate revenge by Edgar Allan Poe. This haunting and sinister illustrated work is by artist Jason Strutz, adapted for the comic page by writer Enrica Jang. This 24-page full color comic is the perfect way to prep for the release of The House of Montresor, a full-length graphic novel by the same creative team, and a sequel to Poe’s Cask of Amontillado, expanding and continuing the tale of murder and vendetta that the villainous Montresor only hints at, fifty years after committing the “perfect” crime!
