The Ultimate Comics review? Yep, it’s as great as it sounds. Matt Connor at Ultimate Comics in Raleigh/Durham NC had great things to share this week about THE HOUSE OF MONTRESOR, our sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s Cask of Amontillado. The book is on the shelves at Ultimate Comics now, and Matt had this to say:

“This book is a classic Hammer Horror movie enshrined on the page, with elevated dialogue that still sounds natural and lavish sets bathed in firelight. The more exposition-heavy pages are balanced by sumptuous illustrations so indulgent that the reader can almost hallucinate the music in the Carnival flashback…This book is a treat for fans of literature or horror. Make sure to get a copy while they last.”

Montresor-ActionLab-Part1
The House of Montresor is a sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s original gothic short story, The Cask of Amontillado, written by Enrica Jang with art by the amazing Jason Strutz. This comic fills in the story of Poe’s most cold-blooded killer, Montresor, and what he’s been up to fifty years after getting away with the perfect murder. Only one member of his victim’s bloodline is still alive, and Montresor is not finished tormenting the Fortunato family. Out in stores now, and published by Action Lab!
