As of this morning, all three parts of HOUSE OF MONTRESOR, our sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s Cask of Amontillado are enjoying 4-star rating on comiXology, and we hope to keep that going as new people discover the series. The best part is seeing people continue to enjoy it, including Brian at Geek-o-Rama!

Folks who follow us may remember Brian as the skeptic who, after a shaky start, came around for Issue #2 of our new series with Action Lab, THE HOUSE OF MONTRESOR. He returned this week with a great review for the penultimate Part 3, with more good things to share:

“It’s interesting to think what Edgar Allan Poe might have to say about a sequel to his original story The Cask of Amontillado. Would he be completely offended for latching onto his work or would he praise the creativity of this daunting task? Given how good the book is getting going into issue three of The House of Montresor, I’m going to have to say it would be the latter.”

House of Montresor is in local comic shops now, where you can also pick up our adaptation of the original Cask of Amontillado. Your shop didn’t order it??? Tell them it’s in Previews! And look out for Part 4 next month!

The House of Montresor is a sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s original gothic short story, The Cask of Amontillado, written by Enrica Jang with art by the amazing Jason Strutz. This comic fills in the story of Poe’s most cold-blooded killer, Montresor, and what he’s been up to fifty years after getting away with the perfect murder. Only one member of his victim’s bloodline is still alive, and Montresor is not finished tormenting the Fortunato family. Out in stores now, and published by Action Lab!
