I wrote this story, “Will I See You Tonight?” almost a year ago, well before recent events and hashtag activism exploded all over everyone. I’m posting it now because this story is about to be released for print and I can’t think of a more fitting time.

I wrote it from the POV of someone who is and is not me: I’m not a street performer, but I have been in this situation, as has nearly every woman I know. I haven’t always known how to react to or handle it. All you really can do is wake up the next day and keep plugging.

Very, very grateful to have such a wonderful artist in Lora Innes to tell the story–the work is beautiful.

So here is my #yesallwomen tweet, too long for a tweet, so it’s a post. Here is my contribution to the “women in comics” discussion. And here is the shameless plug: this is one of four stories in my mini-antho, ANGEL WITH a BULLET, inspired by the music of Tom Waits. This is the full 8-page story in black and white, and I would love to hear/read your comments below. The color version of this story (along with one other) will be available both digitally and in print next week for Special Edition: NYC, and you can order it here! Thanks! —Enrica J.
