As the band unloads the gear for Special Edition: NYC, it’s time to announce ANOTHER special edition—-make that a “Rock Hard” edition!
For the past several months, Red Stylo has been crooning about 27: A Comic Anthology, the latest and greatest hit in our annual series, inspired by rock’s infamous “27 Club.” 54 creators passed the audition and have been arranging stories, vignettes and essays inspired by those infamous musicians that burned bright but never faded away. As the scripts and pages poured in, we realized this book had our strongest line-up yet. So, it’s time to #ROCKHARD or stay home!
Today, we’re launching a Kickstarter to fund 27: Rock Hard Edition. This 212-page, full-color special edition HARDCOVER will be limited to only 1000 signed, numbered copies. All the money raised will go toward printing and shipping this legendary collection from Red Stylo’s All-Star Band. The stories will live on in digital and trade paperback, but the hardcover is a once-in-a-lifetime performance with NO encore!
And we’re giving back to the fans with a killer set-list of rewards! Backers can choose from digital downloads, original artwork, copies of the hardcover, and classics from our back-catalog. There will be drumsticks, t-shirts and other goodies from the merch table. There are even some awesome bonus tracks—like the chance to be drawn into a story, or to have your portfolio reviewed by 27 contributing editor and Nix Comics front-man, Ken Eppstein!
