“For the love of God, Montresor!” Yes, friends, today is the day: THE HOUSE OF MONTRESOR #1, a new sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s “Cask of Amontillado,” is out in comic shops everywhere!
The House of Montresor is a sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s original gothic short story, The Cask of Amontillado. The new book is written by Enrica Jang with art by the amazing Jason Strutz. This comic fills in the story of Poe’s most cold-blooded killer, Montresor, and what he’s been up to fifty years after getting away with the perfect murder. Only one member of his victim’s bloodline is still alive, and Montresor is not finished tormenting the Fortunato family. Check out a preview of pages here.
This is Part 1 of 4 due out in comic shops this year. The comic is published by Action Lab Entertainment, so look for it wherever Action Lab titles are sold–Parts 2 is already in Previews! And if you didn’t pick up the adaptation of Poe’s original story last month, ask your shop to order Cask of Amontillado too!
