Man, Kickstarter can be Hell! We opened the campaign on fire: Kickstarter included WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS? RSM’S newest comic anthology inspired by Dante’s Inferno, in the “Small Press, Big Ideas” showcase and made us a “Project We Love”.

Started out so well, but journey through Dis felt like a wasteland of terror as we languished in the 7th Circle trying to claw our way to the goal. Our fiendish creators were moaning with growing panic in the abyss–i.e. social media–and it felt like we’d never see the stars again… (though shout-out to our most dedicated contributors for continuing to beat the drums!)

Krakoom! Word got out and Bleeding Cool featured our campaign not just once but twice! First, they published a first-person account by WFHIT creator, Dillon Gilbertson, relating his own hellish journey across the River Styx of comics. Then Jude Terror included us in a round-up of “5 September Comics Kickstarters That Could Use Your Help Right Now”.

Finally, we were listed in another roundup of campaigns to back by Paper Cat Press and Do You Even Comic Book? The extra watts in the spotlight did the trick because we reached our goal this past weekend, with less than 48 hours still to go!

Behold! We have entered the final days of our campaign and reaching for a (first?) stretch goal! Anything can happen and we have to keep the fires burning hard and high. But if we can do that WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS? RSM’S newest comic anthology inspired by Dante’s Inferno will be funded! Check out the latest to see what might tempt you before the clock runs out on Tuesday, 10/1! http://tinyurl.com/Hellywood
