Ellen''s Adventures at The Shadowland Holidays On Parade
Originally published in The Shawangunk Journal Newspaper, this is a special volume of collected holidays pinups and posters from Ellen's Adventures at The Shadowland, a seasonal weekly created and illustrated by R. Robert Pollak. Foreword by Joe Staton and introduction by the artist.
Creator R. Robert Pollak draws the weekly seasonal comic strip in a style reminiscent of the classic newspaper comic strips of yesteryear. The strip debuted in 2012, in upstate New York’s Shawangunk Journal Newspaper. All of the storylines and settings are inspired by the rich history and picturesque locations in the Hudson Valley area. The main character, Ellen Allen, is an actress at the local Shadowland Theatre in Ellenville, New York. Ellen’s charm is always finding herself in precarious situations with a group of over-the-top characters, from aliens, gnomes and ghosts, to old movie stars.
This is the official announcement of the slate of artists and writers contributing to Red Stylo Media’s newest collection: “What Fresh Hell Is This?” A Comic Anthology Inspired by Dante’s Inferno.
